Job Description
At Oakwell Animal Hospital, we believe that the best care and client experience begins with extraordinary staff! We are currently seeking a friendly, talented, compassionate veterinarian to join our growing team.
We strive to provide high quality medicine with state-of-the-art equipment and techniques, treating each patient as we would our own pets.
Opening just in February 2023, we have already seen explosive growth and become a community favorite in Johnson City, TN.
Through expanding our team, we will be able to bring more of this tailored, personal veterinary care to the Tri-Cities.
Our team thrives on collaboration and maintains a professional, but laid back environment that feels welcoming from the moment you step through our doors.
We want Oakwell to be a place where not only you and our support staff feel like family, but our clients and their pets do as well.
We focus on creating a clinic culture of compassion and open communication.
We offer above industry standard wages for all positions, so you can feel confident you are joining a team of happy, well trained professionals, who are dedicated to providing the best services for our community.
For new-grad DVMs, we foster mentorship with experienced DVMs who love to teach and want to support a new grad in growing in their careers.
Our new-grad mentorship program provides you with an initial shadow period to observe the other veterinarians, regular check-ins to make sure you are getting everything you need, rounding opportunities to brush up on important topics and more all with the goal of giving you more time to learn the trade with less stress.
We also provide a competitive CE budget for our DVMs, so you can pursue training in your area of interest.
Oakwell prioritizes our team’s well-being and believes that includes a great work life balance. We designed Oakwell’s work-flows, staff schedules, and appointment schedules with employee quality of life in mind.
Our patient scheduling style also gives vets more time with clients so you can form a stronger bond and maintain a focus on client education and high quality medicine.
Start a conversation with us about your future at Oakwell, the premiere animal hospital servicing the Tri-Cities!
