Neurology Veterinary Technician

We are looking for an experienced neurology-focused Veterinary Technician who is patient-first, has excellent communication skills, and embodies our core values to join our non-corporate Primary Care, Emergency, and Specialty hospital.

We currently have 2 Full-Time Neurologists, several Veterinary Technician Specialists in Neurology, and numerous Assistants.

We are eager to add a Veterinary Technician to our Neurology Department to enhance our ability to provide quality patient care!

We are well staffed with 200+ support staff and highly trained veterinary technicians, including several veterinary technician specialists spanning multiple specialties, such as Anesthesia, Dentistry, Diagnostic Imaging, Emergency and Critical Care, Exotics, and Oncology.

We are fully equipped with a 64 Slice CT scanner, 1.5 Tesla MRI, fluoroscopy, endoscopic equipment, a fully integrated in-house laboratory, advanced and minimally invasive surgical suites, ultrasound, digital radiography, therapy laser, surgical laser, oxygen cages, chemotherapy hood, and fully stocked pharmacy.

Our veterinary hospital is located in Mount Laurel, NJ which is a convenient 20-25 minute commute from Philadelphia. We are located 1 hour from New York City and the New Jersey shore towns, making our area an excellent choice for work and play!

Responsibilities and Skills :

• Assist with MRI / CT procedures and diagnostics
• Assist Neurologist with procedures
• May assist other departments as needed to increase knowledge and exposure to other specialties
• Able to properly restrain patients for a neurologic exam, venipuncture, and IV catheter placement
• Ensure proper set up of exam rooms
• Assist with appointments and client communication
• Maintain stock of necessary supplies

Qualifications :

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a veterinary technician, (can be outside of Neurology)
• VTS preferred
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Organized and have excellent time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
