JOB DEFINITION :
Assist the Program Supervisor in managing the daily operations of a residential program providing housing and supports to people with psychiatric disabilities
EDUCATION REQUIRED :
Minimum of High School Diploma, Bachelor's degree in human services or related field preferred
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
Experience in a mental health related field.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assist Supervisor in initial and ongoing training of staff.
- Provide direct care services and assist Supervisor in establishing staffing patterns and securing site coverage as needed.
- Provide counseling, behavioral interventions, restorative services, assistance in negotiating community activities and crisis management services.
- Monitor, train and assist residents in all programs in household maintenance activities to ensure a clean, safe and homelike environment.
Directly participate in household maintenance activities when required.
- Provide training, supervision and assistance to residents in daily activities including food purchases, recreational activities, and meal planning and personal care activities.
- Assist residents in developing meaningful service plan goals and provide supports to assist residents in achieving their goals.
- Provide residents in licensed housing programs with restorative services appropriate to their needs, treating residents with dignity and respect.
- Document interactions with residents and resident progress in accordance with agency policies and standards.
- Assist Supervisor in the oversight of the sites to ensure a clean, safe and homelike environment.
- Supervise the day-to-day management of the residence in cooperation with the Supervisor, including food purchases, recreational activities, meal planning and personal care activities of residents.
- Assist in oversight of program and resident finances.
- Oversee fire safety training activities and ensures fire drills are conducted in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Oversee and participate in all Medicaid billable activities under leadership of the Supervisor, and / or ensure that all documentation is current and in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in weekly Senior Counselor Quality Assurance meetings.
- Oversee management of medications in compliance with agency policies.
- Maintain collateral contacts with outside service providers and participates in case conferences as scheduled.
- Assist Supervisor in oversight of records and ensures appropriate documentation of client activities as well as the maintenance of client records in accordance with agency standards.
- Provide transportation as needed using personal vehicle when agency vehicle is not available.
- Promptly report all emergencies, incidents, maintenance and safety issues to the Supervisor.
- Co- lead team meetings as scheduled.
- Facilitate sharing of data with the individuals to whom it applies to facilitate partnered decision-making and to keep clients informed of progress
- Identify and implement quality improvement trainings and activities as part of professional development goals
- Complete Quality Improvement Training during onboarding and participate in Quality Improvement refresher training as needed.
