SUMMARY

We are seeking a Director, Financial Analysis who will lead diligence efforts for platform and add-on investments, as well as support our portfolio companies in their exit preparations.

This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a cross-functional team.

This is an in-office position located at our headquarters in Solana Beach, CA

POSITION / REQUIREMENTS

  • Develop financial models to analyze cash flows, investment returns, and enterprise values for new acquisition opportunities and existing portfolio companies.
  • Analyze complex data sets to identify crucial financial and business information.
  • Apply mathematical or statistical techniques to address practical issues in finance, such as financial market valuation.
  • Develop exit-thesis and process documentation.
  • Lead industry and landscape research to identify potential financial or strategic acquirers of Tide Rock Holdings’ portfolio companies;

develop an effective process for the identification, qualifying, and tracking of the prospects.

  • Work with senior leadership to coordinate external partners (e.g., legal, accounting, investment banking) during the sales / exit process.
  • Research industry dynamics within light manufacturing, value-added distribution, and professional services.
  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence on industry players in terms of technology, business, management, financial and legal matters.
  • Develop detailed industry materials including market size, growth prospects, demand drivers, key competitors, etc.
  • Prepare reports illustrating data graphically and translating complex processes and trends into written text.
  • Prepare memos and other approval materials for Tide Rock’s Investors.
  • Assist with ongoing monitoring and ad hoc strategic projects for portfolio companies.
  • Support the 60-to-90-day post-transaction integration of new acquisitions.
  • Work with our portfolio companies to develop theses and measure key performance indicators for a successful exit.
  • Compile financial reports and valuation estimates of current portfolio companies for current and potential investors.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • MBA or other relevant Master’s Degree strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of professional experience, 3+ of which has been supporting buy-side transactions
