- Develop and implement end- to- end logistics strategy
- Maximax customers service levels and make continuous improvement and continuously improving the cost effectiveness of logistics processes.
- Derive and deliver budgets, setting a key performance goal for the team
- Plan, manages, and coordinates all trucking activities in each locations and overseeing daily operations of the business segments or departments by ensuring strategic goals are met by setting operational tactics, creating and maintaining budgets and managing personnel within the purview.
- Organize and ensure timely unbroken and smooth arrival of goods and trucks to the right destinations monitoring flow of goods and transportation involved.
- Develop distinct work environment spearheading innovative strategic thinking, direct the people development and deployment process, and manage company resources productively.
- Build a dynamic organization and oversee daytoday operations.
- Improving efficiency and increase profits margin while managing the overall operations through managing staff and overseeing the budget and employing operational strategies.
- Lead to ensure scoring the 7 R's : Getting the Right product, in the Right quantity, at the Right place, in the Right condition, at the Right time, to the Right customer, at the Right price,
- Plan and monitor inbound and outgoing trucks ensuring prompt adherence of trucks' maintenance, plot convenience routes, and liaise with fleet managers in responding to any issues or complaints.
- You have the responsibility of planning, organizing, leading and controlling in all operational matters
- You have the responsibility to monitor progress, delegate tasks, resolve conflicts, and reporting to the management.
- You must avert wastages in time management during transporting and delivering periods and also supervise to implement safety protocols.
- Measure productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports through coordinating with other support departments as human resources, finance to ensuring successful production operations.
- To allocate your resource fittingly and delegate tasks evenly as appropriate ensuring that products, inventory, parts or drivers move from one place to another efficiently and cost effectively
- Oversee every aspect of the business wihin equitable distribution, vendor relationships toward maximizing outputs.
- Develop tools / metrics that leverage on data analytics technology to measure the performance of delivery and logistics workflow
- Lead and develop a highly professional tem to maximize effectiveness and agility among drivers and fleet managers
- Keep abreast of the company's best practice and development and collaborate with the team and external partners / parties to develop new / improve capabilities for the business unit
- Build strong collaborative relationships with other departments to continually improve processes
- Continuously improve the cost effectiveness of logistics processes
- Collaborate closely clients to build strong and long-lasting relationships.
- Scheduling both outbound and backloads carriages and constantly monitoring them to make sure each product arrives on time and safely.
- Assign responsibilities to other employees within your purview according to their interests and skills and regularly oversee their performances and conduct one-on-one meetings to discuss improvements and share guidance and tips on how to perform more effectively in their roles.
- Calling and emailing both clients and fellow workmen to relay important company's urgent information and updates concerning the business
