Join an interdisciplinary research postdoctoral fellowship program in basic and translational aspects of genetics, molecular biology, immunology, microbiology, pathophysiology and treatment of liver and gastrointestinal tract disorders.
Program goals are to attract and DVM postdoctoral trainees to these fields and to provide training in state-of-the-art research techniques.
Fellowships are for one year, with a potential second year of support dependent on successful renewal of our competitive T grant renewal, and are funded by an NIH (NIDDK) Institutional Training Grant (T).
Specific mentors and areas of interest can be found at Minimum Education and Experience Requirements PhD, MD, MD / PhD or DVM or equivalent degree in related fields.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Applicants must be a citizen or a permanent resident of the United States or have been lawfully admitted for permanent residence at the time of appointment.

Additionally, candidates must have a PhD, and / or MD degree by appointment date. Experience with mammalian cell culture, bacterial culture, mouse handling, basic biochemical and molecular biology techniques and some background in computational biology is preferred Special Physical / Mental Requirements Must comply with all environmental health and safety rules including proper use of personal protective equipment.
