Title : Litigation Legal Assistant
Location : Denver, CO
Work Schedule : Day Shift, M-F, In Person
Compensation : $75,000 - $90,000
PRINCIPAL DUTIES :
- Prepare, proofread, and finalize pleadings, discovery documents, and correspondence with attention to detail.
- Handle the processing and scanning of incoming mail efficiently.
- Interact professionally with clients, attorneys, staff, opposing counsel, court reporters, and court personnel.
- Open, manage, and close case files following firm procedures.
- Schedule appointments and events in Microsoft Outlook, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- File and serve pleadings, discovery, and other legal documents with both Colorado State and Federal Courts.
- Arrange travel and prepare expense reimbursements for attorneys.
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong organizational, proofreading, and technological skills, with a deep understanding of legal terminology and calendaring.
- Exceptional attention to detail in both written and verbal communication.
- Comprehensive knowledge of filing and e-filing requirements across all Colorado Courts, including Federal Courts.
- Solid understanding of the litigation process, with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Adobe; experience with FileSite / iManage is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Must be punctual and reliable.
