Job Description and Duties

SENIOR MAINTENANCE AIDE (SEASONAL) SIERRA DISTRICT / DONNER MEMORIAL STATE PARK

Priority consideration will be given to any person receiving State public assistance under the CalWORKS program. Applicants who receive State public assistance need to identify their status as a CalWORKS recipient in the comments area on the application.

The reporting location for this position will be Donner Memorial State Park in Truckee, CA. Under the general direction and supervision of the Park Maintenance Supervisor and the leadership of permanent maintenance staff.

The Senior Maintenance Aide is responsible to keep the area and facilities of the park and campground clean and orderly, to answer questions on rules and regulations for the public, and other related work.

This position is a seasonal, unskilled position involved in facilities maintenance functions of the State Park System. The essential job functions of this position include maintenance services, visitor contact, resource protection and lead work.

The incumbent's work schedule will be from 7 : 00 am to 3 : 30 pm five days per week but may work from 1 : 00 pm to 9 : 30pm on weekends and holidays.

This position requires a valid Class C driver’s license. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application.
