National Sales Director, Men's Accessories - Perry Ellis International

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented National Sales Director to join our Men's Accessories team.
Position Summary :
The National Sales Director for Men's Accessories will be responsible for leading and managing the sales strategy and execution for our men's accessories division, including but not limited to neckwear, belts, wallets, and bags. This role is a key leadership position that requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of driving sales growth, building strong relationships with key retailers, and developing a high-performing sales team.
Key Responsibilities :
Sales Strategy & Execution :
Develop and implement a comprehensive national sales strategy to achieve and exceed sales targets and budgets.
Identify and secure new business opportunities with major department stores, specialty retailers, and e-commerce platforms.
Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitive activity to inform strategic decisions and identify growth opportunities.
Collaborate with design, merchandising, and marketing teams to ensure a cohesive and market-relevant product assortment.
Manage and negotiate key retail partnerships, including seasonal buy plans, promotional calendars, and co-op advertising.
Oversee all aspects of the sales cycle from initial pitch to order fulfillment and post-sale analysis.
Team Leadership & Development :
Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals, providing clear direction and performance feedback.
Develop and implement training programs to enhance the team's product knowledge, selling skills, and industry expertise.
Foster a positive and collaborative team environment focused on achieving collective goals.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities.
Market & Account Management :
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key retail partners at all levels.
Conduct regular market visits and attend trade shows to stay abreast of industry trends and strengthen relationships.
Manage and forecast sales budgets, ensuring profitability and return on investment.
Proactively address and resolve any account-related issues or challenges.
Prepare and present compelling sales presentations to both internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive sales experience in the fashion or retail industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of driving significant sales growth and managing multi-million dollar accounts.
Extensive experience in men's accessories is highly preferred.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and sales management software.
Ability to travel as required.
