Overview :
This is a 1st shift opportunity in the MillingDepartment and involves performing a series of complex machineoperations. Typical job runs are 110parts.
MinimumRequirements :
- High school diploma required. Advancededucation or apprenticeship preferred.
- 35 yearsof CNC experience.
- Strong skills in editingGCode and manual programming preferred.
- Strongmath skills and the ability to work from detailed and involved partdrawings and specifications to perform operations to the capacityof the machine and controls are alsoessential.
Responsibilities :
- Program setup and run Kunzmann CNC machineswith Heidenhain Control.
- Setup and run CNCVertical Machining Center DMG 103V.
- RetrieveCNC programs and load to the machine.
- Edit inGcode and manually program using HeidenhainControl.
- Setup fixturing and come up with yourown set ups on machine.
- Perform first piece andinprocess quality inspections.
- Setup cutters inholders and adjust height and length.
- Readdrawings / prints to identify operations specification andtolerances.
- Meet precise tolerances andfinishing requirements.
- Use various hand toolsto finish parts and check.
- Use measuringdevices like micrometers and calipers to ensure specifications aremet.
- Perform operator maintenance tasks likeoiling greasing and cleaning the machine(5S).
- Use forklift or crane to store andretrieve fixturing and other essentialequipment.
- Operate other machines in thedepartment as needed.
WorkEnvironment :
- Ability to lift heavy weights bend stoop andperform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work invarious conditions such as extreme heat and noiselevel.
- Willingness to move between workcenters.
