Software Development Engineering - Advisor
TITLE : Software Development Engineering - Advisor
EMPLOYER : Fiserv Solutions, LLC
LOCATION : Milwaukee, WI (and various unanticipated locations throughout the US subject to authorization from management)
DUTIES : Design and implement REST APIs for mobile and web applications including payment devices, web dashboard, and third-party applications.
Design and implement payment gateway integrations that process thousands of transactions per second. Own features and components assigned, from development through deployment and verification to setting up production monitoring.
Identify technical requirements; translate product requirements into functional, maintainable, extensible software in-line with company objectives;
and assist the business team with project planning and feature development. Design and architect scalable and highly available cloud solutions.
Deploy, configure, and manage cloud resources including virtual machines, containers, and serverless functions. Monitor and optimize application performance including on-prem and cloud infrastructure.
Identify and resolve bottlenecks and inefficiencies. Develop automation scripts and workflows to streamline cloud operations and resource management.
REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and 7 years in any job title involving back-end and server-side software development experience.
- Prior experience must include : 7 years designing and developing APIs in a payment eco-system using Java, Spring Boot, JPA, and multi-cloud infrastructure;
- 7 years working in RDBMS databases including MySQL, Oracle, and AWS RDS; 5 years working in NoSQL databases including AWS DynamoDB and MongoDB;
- 5 years working in Cloud Services Operations and monitoring applications on multi-cloud infrastructures including AWS, Azure, and GCP;
3 years working with credit card processing, e-commerce and payment service gateways; and 3 years working in an Agile development process.
