The College of Education has over 3,000 undergraduate and graduate students and was recently recognized as having one of the best online graduate programs in the country.
The Department of Educational Leadership, Administration, and Research is one of five departments within the College of Education.
The Department of Educational Leadership, Administration, and Research houses graduate programs in educational leadership (CPED member), higher education, and school administration and an undergraduate program in leadership and social innovation.
The College of Education is fully accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and approved by the New Jersey Department of Education.
The Department of Educational Leadership, Administration, and Research is currently searching for qualified, experienced adjunct instructors to teach in the following graduate programs : Educational Leadership, Higher Education, and School Administration.
These are part-time, adjunct positions with the possibility of renewal on a term by term basis. These positions require in-person availability during the evening.
Required Qualifications :
- Earned doctoral degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a field directly or closely related to Higher Education, Student Affairs, Educational Leadership, or School Administration.
- Demonstrated excellence in communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive andragogy and social justice in education
- Demonstrated commitment to working in an environment devoted to collaboration, collegiality, scholarly inquiry and student learning
- A teaching / learning philosophy aligned with the mission of the College of Education
Suggested Qualifications :
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and / or graduate level
- Experience in teaching online at the undergraduate and / or graduate level

Residency Requirements
Rowan University is subject to the residency requirements of the NJ First Act (N.J.S.A. 52 : 14-7, P.L. 2011, Chapter 70).
Any person hired to a non-exempt position shall either have their principal residence in New Jersey or have one (1) year from the date of employment to establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey.
Any person hired to an exempt position shall either have their principal residence in New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, or New York or have ninety (90) days from the date of employment to establish, then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, or New York.
