The Georgia Health Policy Center (GHPC), established in 1995, integrates research, policy, and programs to advance health and well-being.

The center conducts, analyzes and disseminates qualitative and quantitative findings to connect decision makers with the objective research and guidance needed to make informed decisions about health policy and programs.

Today the center is at work in more than 220 communities in all 50 states, helping our nation to improve health status. In 2017, the GHPC added a global portfolio, including work in Nigeria, Sudan, and Ireland.

The Georgia Health Policy Center is seeking to hire an Associate to the Director (Temp) . This position provides high-level administrative support to the Director (CEO).

WHAT WILL YOU DO :

This position is responsible for managing various administrative functions such as, calendar management, planning and coordinating meetings and travel coordination.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, multitasking ability, and a strong sense of initiative. This is a full-time temporary position, with the possibility of applying for a permanent position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE :

Calendar management :

Manage and prioritize the Director's daily voice, written and electronic communications.

Meeting Coordination :

Coordinate high level and complex meetings, including managing meeting logistics, catering, set-up / breakdown, etc.

Travel Coordination :

  • Arrange and manage domestic and international travel, including planning itineraries, submitting travel authorizations and travel expense statements.
  • Coordinate requests for information from stakeholders, officials, etc.
  • Perform other related duties.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience; or a combination of work experience, including training and education, may be substituted.

Preferred Requirements :

  • Executive Assistant experience.
  • Strong calendar management experience.
  • University experience.
  • Experience in special event planning.
  • Ability to manage, prioritize, and coordinate multiple tasks
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
