Boiler HVAC Service Technician
We have an immediate opening for an experienced Boiler HVAC Service Technician. As a service technician you will dispatch to various locations, within the Detroit Metropolitan Area, to inspect equipment, identify problems and perform necessary repairs in an accurate and efficient manner.
In addition, you will perform factory start-up services, CSD-1 and related inspections and execute scheduled equipment maintenance duties.
When required, you will be expected to install new equipment and ensure they are operating within manufacturer specifications.
We provide services for commercial and residential customers so you must have an understanding of commercial equipment and codes.
Our ideal candidate has at least three years of professional Boiler HVAC service experience and be able to work independently, without supervision.
We will entertain applicants with limited experience if you have completed a training program from an accredited institution and are familiar with boiler systems
Boiler HVAC Service Technician Duties and Responsibilities
- Dispatch to commercial and residential locations for maintenance, repair and installation services.
- Troubleshoot, pinpoint and diagnose equipment and heating system malfunctions.
- Prepare and provide detailed recommendations pertaining to equipment repair or replacement. Discuss options with customers and provide quotes.
- Execute precise and effective equipment repair(s) when required.
- Install new boiler heating and hot water equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance task as scheduled.
- Conduct equipment inspections, start-ups and testing to ensure proper operation
- Perform CSD-1 inspections.
- Maintain accurate records including customer information, on-sight equipment, work performed and materials used.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects thoroughly and efficiently.
- Cultivate and develop long term customer relationships that insure recurring business.
- Conduct daily assignments with the highest degree of integrity and professionalism
Boiler HVAC Service Technician Requirements and Qualifications
- High school, GED certificate or Trade school diploma
- Valid Driver’s License
- No felony or Class A misdemeanor convictions.
- Drug free, must submit to a drug screening
- Strong understanding of boiler design, function & operation.
- Ability to read and understand wiring schematics and diagrams.
- Proficient with manual and power tools.
- Must have mental & physical stamina, able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be reliable and self-motivated
