Shipping/Receiving Distribution Associate

Position : Shipping / Receiving Distribution Associate Location : Bedford, TX

Job Id : 225-62124 # of Openings : 1 Daystar Christian Television Network is looking for an entry-level Shipping / Receiving Distribution Associate to work in our Shipping and Receiving Department at our HQ in Bedford, Texas.

Must be a Christian committed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Performs the following activities in the Daystar Distribution Services Center : including all of Level I activities plus all shipping / receiving and freight functions.

This job is an essential part of our Distribution Shipping and Receiving Team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Receive all accountable packages and shipments and enter internal tracking software.
• Sort packages according to delivery standards delivering all packages to the designated party securing signature for each accountable package.
• Keep internal tracking software data updated at all times.
• Accept all packages for shipping and determine the best ship method based on current criteria.
• Prepare / pack packages for shipping to ensure delivery without damage.
• Provide tracking information as needed; track key shipments and notify the sender of delivery.
• Keep track of shipping / receiving paperwork and providing copies to the Purchasing Department as requested.
• Keep track of shipping supplies and anticipate needs of Distribution as well as other Departments. Notify Supervisor of needs.
• Deliver paper / stationery throughout the building as required.
• Communicate with other departments and keep track of special delivery needs our hot’ packages for each Department and make them available to co-workers in case of your absence.
• Update Shipping / Receiving tracker daily.
• Keep areas under your responsibility clean and in compliance with safety requirements.
• Ensure that both morning and afternoon mail / package deliveries and pick-ups are carried out on time.
• Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments; Serves with a spirit of excellence.

Qualifications

• One - Two-years Distribution Shipping and Receiving
• Computer Skills, (Microsoft, Excel, Postage), Data Entry. Must be able to type 35 WPM.

Arrives at meetings and appointments on time.

• Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Completes tasks on time.
• Valid Driver’s License for use in Texas; Good Driving Record; Forklift Operators License preferred; Experience preferred in the use of postal scales and metering
• Must be a Christian who is personally committed to the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
