Job Summary :
The University of Utah Health seeks a Director of Advancement for the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine. The Director will be responsible for soliciting private philanthropic support through major and principal gifts to benefit U of U Health’s strategic priorities.
Reporting to the Senior Executive Director of Advancement, the Director will manage a national portfolio of donors and prospects to deepen their engagement with Utah Health.
Responsibilities :
- Establish vision and priorities for short- and long-term fundraising goals.
- Engage with SFESOM alumni, faculty, and administrators to build philanthropic support.
- Develop and implement a major gift fundraising program.
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift prospects.
- Prepare leadership proposals and solicitations for major gift prospects.
- Manage and staff volunteer advisory boards.
- Support donor relations and prospect research.
- Travel quarterly to secure philanthropic support from alumni.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communication, Public Relations, English, or a related field, or equivalency. Five years experience in fundraising, marketing, sales, or public relations which includes two years of budgeting and supervisory experience.
