SUMMARY

Manages, supervises and implements a quality program for children aged preschool to Grade 5. Develops and supports staff with creating engaging activities that are designed to promote social, physical, intellectual, and creative growth.

Fosters a positive relationship with campus administration, staff, and parents. Scheduled work hours will reflect the programmatic needs of the sites assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card

Ability to supervise at least 100 children.

Supervisory experience.

Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written / graphic and oral instructions

Must also meet one of the qualifications listed :

24 Months of Child Care experience AND

High school or high school equivalency diploma AND

At least 6 credit hours from an accredited college or university in early childhood, child development, or related field.

60 hours of instruction provided in conferences, seminars, workshops in the areas stated above AND

12 hours of instruction provided in conferences, seminar, and workshops in program administration, planning, development, or management.

18 Months Child Care experience AND

Child Development Associate (C.D.A.) or Certified Childcare Professional (C.C.P) or National Administrator Credential (N.

A.C.) Certification as issued by the National Child Care Association.

At least 24 credit hours from an accredited college or university including 6 credit hours in early childhood, child development, or a related field.

An associate degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood or child development AND

6 Months Child Care experience

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in the areas of early childhood, child development or a closely related field AND

3 Months Child Care experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE

Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

Documentation of a negative tuberculosis screening test, administered within 12 months before the start date; or if a candidate has had a positive test, a written statement signed and dated by a health care provider within six months before the start date stating candidate is free from infectious active tuberculosis.

CPR and First Aid Certification (required within 90 days of hire at employee's expense). Certification must be maintained current during course of employment.

Complete and maintain 18 hours of required state training per year

Complete 12 hours of the Department of Economic Services (DES) health and safety classes
