SUMMARY OF POSITION
Under the direction of the Senior Director of Quality and will lead the optimization and training support of our EHR (Electronic Health Record) system.
Coordinate and resolve staff requests related to EHR maintenance, issues, and projects. Collaborate with the Quality team in assisting requested reports and audits.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS
- Assist with data entry and reporting into EHR and other databases or applications as needed in collaboration with the Quality team.
- Support the Senior Director of Quality to design, build, and know how to schedule all regular reports on a regular basis (weekly, monthly, quarterly) as needed.
- Assist with creating and editing data into graphs and other presentation formats for quality management meetings and other administrative meetings as needed.
- Assist the Senior Director of Quality on training documentation development.
- Conduct EHR training for new hire employees and EHR re-education opportunities for established employees.
- Create and / or terminate eCW user access for eCW application and eCW University as required.
- Create and / or assist in developing EHR materials on best practices.
- Assist in monitoring EHR support tickets submitted by staff and troubleshoot eCW technical difficulties quickly and effectively.
- Create and / or assist with escalation of cases submitted to eClinicalWorks portal and manage resolution process.
- Monitor various processes and functionality in the EHR and route issues to appropriate parties.
- Manage Patient Portal Dashboard processes and troubleshoot issues requested by staff.
- Assist eCW implementation projects and interfaces with external partners.
- Assist eCW functions and / or features such as Healow Open Access, Messenger Campaign, Healow Patient Portal, eBO Reports, and more.
- Facilitate eCW functions / features demonstration with eClinicalWorks when requested.
- Assist eCW application updates and upgrades and provide communication with staff.
- Troubleshot issues that may result from eCW application updates and upgrades.
- Participate in Quality meetings, eCW meetings, and other meetings as needed.
- Adhere to HIPAA Privacy Rule and Security Rule.
- C onduct requested audits relating to EHR compliance.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Bachelor's degree preferred or relevant experience.
- Minimum of 1 year experience with electronic health records is preferred.
- Medical terminology is preferred.
- Healthcare operation workflow knowledge.
- Background with HIPAA rules and regulations preferred.
- Effective professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- High adaptability and flexibility.
- Demonstrate knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required.
