Import Purchasing Agent

Job Summary - Vaco is working with a growing marketing company and they have an opening for an Import Purchase Agent. This person is responsible for logistics processes, ensuring accurate procurement, and shipment processes.

Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute global supply chains.
- Analyze factory pricing
- Ensure continuous liaison between Operations and Sales
- Communicate internally with internal managers to ensure operational efficiency
- Manage supply chain.
- Attend weekly evening conference calls with the China team and lead conversations as needed.
- Receive and analyze bids from overseas vendors.
- Proactively monitor container rates.
- Source and price additional materials with US vendors
- Track costs on bid vs. actual container costs
- Process all payments to ensure they are made on time and accurately.
- Track all import shipments
Qualifications :
- 5-8 years global purchasing experience
- in Business, Supply Chain, or Management is preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Project management experience required
- Able to work as a team and communicate with internal managers
- Experience with Supply Chain software
