About the Role
Data Strategy involves transforming the way our clients think about, organize and orchestrate data & technology to deliver more timely, engaging brand experiences for their customers.
This role has a strong focus on audience planning & targeting, ad tech consultancy and adhering to data privacy best practices.
We are looking for a Data and Audience Strategist - Associate Director who will work with clients on the creation and implementation of an audience strategy including data acquisition strategy, audience insights creation as well as audience architecture to support strategy, planning and campaign activation.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop first party data acquisition strategy, evaluating client landscape and working directly with key stakeholders (client & agency) to identify existing available data to develop holistic data strategy.
- Lead the creation of audience strategy for retention, acquisition, and opportunistic white space to deliver growth.
- Support the Comm Strategy team as they create audience insights, market, and audience sizing through syndicated platforms and lead the audience creation / segmentation / validation with addressable targeting signals for media activation.
- Identify data gaps / requirements to continue elevating client’s deliverables.
- Collaborate and support response to briefs to ensure data strategy recommendations are integrated, clear to understand and any technical terms or processes explained.
- Improve the efficiency of paid media activities through the use of 1st, 2nd party and 3rd party data sets, translating planning and Comm Strategy audiences into addressable targets.
- Support the onboarding of vendors through the BTG vendor approval process, including assessing vendor data collection processes and brand safety suitability.
- Maintain oversight of the data partner market and lead the completion of regular vendors RFI to inform recommendations.
- Create test & learn agenda in partnership with planning, investments, activation and analytics teams to validate hypotheses around the use of audience data.
- Lead creation of hypotheses, use cases, roadmap to implement all changes driven by industry data governance.
- Update clients about industry trends / changes impacting audience strategies.
- Identify and evaluate most relevant data sources and data-driven solutions and technology partners.
- Contribute and support on advising on client tech stack, identifying and recommending technology and platforms to ensure greater use of data for insights and targeting.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field.
OR equivalent professional work experience.
- 5 to 8 years of work experience in audience and data strategy applicable to marketing and / or media.
- Knowledgeable about digital data technologies and partners.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

- Working experience building audiences in media platforms.

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $75,000 to $180,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
