In Philanthropy the specialistsprovide a wide range of expertise within philanthropy operationsand fundraising. They represent a wide range of years ofexperience;

some are more junior in their careers, while othershave many years of experience. Many are considered subject matterexperts (SME), they have acquired deep technicalknowledge.

Working under the supervision of andin collaboration with the Executive Director-Database, thePhilanthropy Specialist - Senior is experienced in data managementand back-office support of fundraising team.

The Specialist isresponsible for the oversight and management of Blackbaud Raiser'sEdge NXT supporting all the Foundations’ fund-raising initiatives.

This position is integral to all aspects of donor relations, datasupport for events, appeals, other development projects.

Emphasison working with Donor Relations Representatives and ExecutiveDirectors.

Responsibilities :

• Provides reports and trenddata.
• Provides clinical, technical, oradministrative support to others.
• Seen as anindividual contributor or SME in the specific area orfunction.
• Able to work independently and makesound decisions, utilizing judgment and analytical skills and toeffectively communicate internally andexternally.
• Demonstrate ability to develop andimplement project plans; to develop effective marketing andcommunications material; and able to perform assignedresponsibilities in a manner that meets the needs of departmentgoals and objectives.
• Maintains the BlackbaudRaiser’s Edge Database, including table management, and conductingdata reviews to ensure best practices are being followed.
• Ensures the quality of data in Raiser’sEdge for fundraising events and special campaigns.
• Creates new donation forms as neededusing NXT / Blackbaud Merchant Services and coordinate with the webdesign team to update links on donation pages.
• Creates Lists / Queries / Dashboards / Reportsfor fundraising, events, stewardship, cultivation, andsolicitations.
• Establishes andMaintains documentation for data configuration, coding procedures& policies.
• MaintainsBlackbaud Certification; and serves as subject matter expert forRaisers’ Edge.
• Identifiesand implements improvements to enhance database functionality.Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments inhealthcare philanthropy.
• Worksclosely with the Executive Director-Database, provides feedback andinnovative ideas to ensure that the Foundation is keeping up withcurrent data trends and technologies.
• Serves as back-up for Prospect Researchduring busing times.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalentrequired
• A minimum of 5 years of experience ina similar setting required.
• Five (5) years ofexperience working with Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM or donordatabase, preferred.
• Background in fundraisingor non-profit a plus. Database experience is aplus.
• Experience with volunteers and / or eventsmay be preferred.
• Three years' experienceprocessing gifts and data in BlackbaudRaiser’s
• Higher levels require five to sevenyears of experience
• Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge orNXT Fundamentals Professional Certificationpreferred.
