MaterialHandler I at Ditch Witch :
This employeefills orders, receives and stocks parts into the warehouse,delivers parts with forklifts or Raymond, and unloads trucks.
Thisemployee also performs routine maintenance on forklifts and partswagons.
WhatWill YouDo?
Readinformation from variousdocuments.
Locateand identify parts in thewarehouse.
Usea forklift, Raymond, or hoist to move or deliver parts andcontainers.
Countor use scales to weigh-countparts.
Usea computer to check the location,inventory, and routing / ordering ofparts.
Performroutine service on forklifts, including filling the propanetank, checking andadding engine oil, cleaning the radiator, and washing theforklift.
WhatWill YouNeed?
HighSchool Diploma orequivalent preferred.
Priorforklift experience and / or certificationpreferred.
Haveappropriate reading, clerical, and basic math skills. This includesthe ability to understand written instructions, record transactionsaccurately, and perform basiccalculations.
WorkEnvironment :
Manufacturingplant conditions (indoors, with variable temperature, humidity,noise, anddirt).
Limitedoutdoor exposure (while getting parts and filling forklift propanetank).
Physicalhazards such as powered vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic,overhead storage, and materialshandling.
Workingwith hazardous materials, including LPG, solvents, oils, grease,acids, caustics, paints, andbatteries.
