The Billing Analyst serves as the primary service billing contact tomercial National Accounts business leaders, brokers and insureds.
This position involves customer service, analytics, accounting skills and ensuring allpany books are accurate and collected timely.
Reconcile discrepancies with brokers and insureds.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Handle all questions, requests for financial analysis, special projects, and route escalations back to National Accounts business leaders.
- Monitoring outstanding receivable bills for payment.
- Perform payment follow up requests and timely collections of premiums and cash application.
- Work with the underwriting and service area to improve, build and design future state process flows.
- Responsible for rmendations for improved workflow design, prioritizing, ensuring timeliness, maintaining a high level of quality, providing rmendations, and escalating issues.
- Ability to work independently and serve as SME on projects.
- Partners with the business and other areas such aspliance, Controllers, & Service Operations, to ensure premium payment processes are followed.
- Ability to create future state process and strategy with business partners.
- Ability to multi-task and independently manage several financial duties simultaneously.
- Builds and maintains good working relationships with business partners and leaders, establishes credibility, strong sense of urgency and responsiveness.
- Employee will need to work collaboratively with National Accounts team. Ability to meet deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Decision making, Customer Service focus, Analytical skills
- Preferredmercial Market insurance background
- Preferred Associate degree in Finance or Accounting or 6+ years work experience in a technical or financial casualty insurance position orparable position requiring a broad spectrum of technical and financial insurance knowledge and skills.
- Preferred Strong background in customer service, billing and Loss Sensitive programs.
- Strong PC skills, including Word and Excel (Building filters, pivot tables and "if"statements)
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellentmunication skills.
- Proven organizational and time management skills
- Lean Six Sigma certification a plus

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration ofpetencies required for the role.
The base pay is just oneponent of The Hartford's totalpensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
The annualized base pay range for this role is :
$48,400 - $72,600
