Responsibilities / Duties
- Operates a CNC Machine
- Cleans machine when it is not in use
- Changes tooling within machine
- Checks part using Quality Department-approved tools to determine accuracy to print
- Clocks on jobs and parts accurately to notify office personnel of part status
- Shows up to work in a timely manner and remaining at work until the mandatory hours have been met
Safety
- Exhibits consistent safe working habits
- Wears all required PPE
- Practices safe work habits
- Aware of and properly uses light guards, emergency stops, etc. for safe machine operation.
- Maintains clean, clutter-free work areas
Quality
- Operates at or above company quality standards
- Consistently practices inspection procedures as set forth in quality manual
- Uses measuring tools (calipers, tape, protractor and square) to ensure product accuracy
- Uses quality manual as reference for all tasks
- Inspects own work
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Main functions include : blue print reading, geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing, and use of multiple gages.
Education and / or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as blue print, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Mathematical Skills
Basic mathematic skills. Addition, subtraction, math with circles such as determining circumference, area, or volume of a cylinder.
