Job Summary :

The Temporary Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, and maintaining positive vendor relationships.

This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and excellent organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Process and verify a high volume of invoices, ensuring proper coding and approval.
  • Enter and upload invoices into the accounting system accurately and promptly.
  • Prepare and perform check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or issues.
  • Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable files and records.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments to address and resolve payment inquiries.
  • Assist with month-end closing processes, including accruals and reconciliations.
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and follow up on outstanding invoices.
  • Support the finance team with various accounting tasks and projects as needed.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of accounts payable or related accounting experience.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
