• Compensation : $105 - 115k Annual Salary Range
• First shift, Monday through Friday

Key Responsibilities for the Software Developer Position :

As a Software Developer at BrightKey, your day-to-day tasks will include designing, coding, testing, and maintaining web applications, ensuring they are efficient, secure, and scalable.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement new features and optimize existing systems. The primary responsibilities include troubleshooting and debugging code, participating in code reviews, and staying updated with industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our development processes. Specifics include :

• Development using C#, test and verify development.
• Participating in the entire software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, estimating, development, testing, and support developing, maintaining, and innovating.

Integrating systems using internal and third-party APIs and writing new APIs.

• Participating in all development process phases and working in a highly collaborative environment.
• Assist in the collection and definition of business and technical requirements.
• Assure delivery of the final product based on requirements, on time, and on budget.
• Adhering to software development best practices.

Qualifications for the Software Developer Position :

• Must live locally and be able to work onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD.
• Five years’ experience with using C#, Vb.net, and ASP.net web services (or MVC or ASP Core)
• Five years’ experience in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
• Five years’ experience with SQL / TSQL and SQL Server 2012 or later
• Five years’ experience with Web API, Web Services, Web XML, WCF, JSON, or Microservices
• Five years’ experience developing functional applications following SDLC best practices.
• Experience leveraging documented APIs, designing / developing new APIs, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience identifying and addressing performance and scalability issues
• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred.

Preferred Experience for the Software Developer Position :

• Experience with WMS (warehouse management systems)
• Experience with EDI
• Experience with DevExpress
• Experience working with outside clients / customers to solve technical issues
• 3rd party logistics experience
