Job Summary :

SUMMARY OF POSITION
Conducts analysis and experimentation on raw material, in-process and finished product, and wastewater samples to ensure quality specifications meet or exceed customer expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operates and maintains various quality control instruments.
- Performs timely and accurate routine quality control analysis using established test methods.
- Approves / rejects materials based upon set specifications.
- Enters data into plant information system to allow generation of reports on plant operating conditions
- Maintains the laboratory according to S practices, good housekeeping and safety standards within the Chemical Hygiene Plan.
- Performs calibrations of equipment.
- Assists in troubleshooting problems with in-process materials, intermediates and finished products.
- May perform other related assignments as determined by supervision.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education equivalent to :
- BS in Chemistry or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience :
- Minimum months lab experience Job related work experience skills / knowledge requirements : (describes ideal and preferable experience but not the number of years)
- Self motivated individual with good time management skills
- Good IT literacy skills (Microsoft Office)
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communications skills.
