Our client is a global market leader in speciality packaging that is now hiring for a Senior Product Development Engineer focused on thermoforming and other packaging for the food and beverage industry.

About the Role :
The role is hybrid with 3-4 days on-site per week, and applicants must live a commutable distance to one of the following locations : Neenah, WI, Northern Chicagoland, or SE Toledo Area.
Responsibilities :
- R&D to develop new products and improve existing products and processes
- Thermoforming / plastics / polymer SME for organization and customers
- Design and specification for products, onboarding of customers / products
- Plan and execute production trials and implement new tooling
- Generation of new product ideas
- Travel will be 15-25% to customer sites
Qualifications :
- 4-yr degree required (chemical engineering, materials engineering, polymers or related degrees preferred)
- Experience in manufacturing / tooling, process engineering and R&D
- Experience leading product and process development projects with demonstrated sustained results
- Experience with thermoforming and related processes
