TheController provides sales and expense analyses for all departments.Fairly represents the financial condition of the dealershipdevelops controls necessary for the proper conduct of the businessand maintains accurate records.

This position interacts daily withAccounting Associates Sales Associates Service Managers supportstaff and customers just to name afew.

JobResponsibilities

TheController is a key position that reports to the General Managerand the Corporate CFO. The Controller supports the entireaccounting function and financial reporting for our dealership.

This position will work closely with management and otherdepartments to help ensure harmonious and productive operationswhich will help maximize the success of the dealerships.

SuccessfulCandidates must be able to maintain excellent business relationswith customers both internally and externally.

Candidates will alsobe expected to help develop and motivate accounting associates toensure that performance metrics are being met orexceeded.

Otheressentialresponsibilities :

• Preparecomplete financial statements and submit to the manufacture andmanagement in accordance with established timeframes
• Interpretand analyze financial statements
• Keepthe General Manager informed on the trends and cash needs of thebusiness
• Developand maintain an effective cash management system
• Managethe day to day accounting operations of the store to ensure thatall transactions are recorded in compliance with dealershipaccounting processes and policies
• Closethe books accurately each month
• Prepareand submit required statements and reports
• Manageand safeguard the stores assets and ensure that internal controlsare in place
• Assistdepartment managers in reading and interpreting their financialreports and in creating action plans needed to improve theiroperation
• Respondto request for information and assistance in a timely manner
• Workwith General Manager to improve revenue or reduce expense in orderto meet or exceed budget and grow the business
• Workwith staff to ensure that corporate initiatives are attained

Requirements

• HighSchool diploma orequivalent
• Threeyears of experience in a dealership position(preferred)
• Previousautomotive comptroller experiencerequired
• Workingknowledge of dealership financialstatements
• Abilityto explain technical financial information in an understandablemanner
• Excellentcommunication skills
