Job Description
2nd and 3rd shifts available, 2-10pm, and 10pm-6am shift times!
Ideal candidate will have 3+ years wastewater experience in an industrial waste water setting with experience operating and maintaining these specific processes.
Education in environmental or water treatment fields may be applied toward equivalent experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operates the plant and conduct activities as outlined by the Operations Manager or Shift Lead
- Monitors and operates standard Waste Water Equipment including Sequential Batch Reactors, Diffused Air Floatation Systems, Multimedia Filters, and Reverse Osmosis Systems.
- Apply and ensure the application of the safety, health & environmental rules for the operation of the plant and its equipment
- Monitor and control the quality of water discharged and the water at various stages of the treatment process through laboratory testing to ensure the water quality at all stages is within the operating permit and SOPs for the site
- Ensure that the operating parameters for proper operation of the plant is maintained within their desired ranges and notify the Operations Manager for any outlying parameters and develop a plan to get the parameter back within the specified range
- Optimize the operation of the wastewater treatment plant by data interpretation, following SOPs and recognizing KPIs
- Analyze and resolve operating anomalies for the wastewater treatment plant
- Complete housekeeping, both indoors and out, to maintain aesthetics of plant
- Complete chemical inventories, work orders for PMs, and assigned trainings
Qualifications
- C1 Licensed wastewater operator from the state of Pennsylvania or desire and the ability to receive this license within 24 months of employment
- 3+ years experience in wastewater treatment . Education within the Wastewater field may be applied as equivalent to years of worked experience.
Knowledge of the following will be considered a plus : Sequential Batch Reactors, Diffused Air Flotation Systems, MultiMedia Filters, and Reverse Osmosis
Strong mechanical aptitude is required
