Job Responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with leaders of Events, Security, Food and Beverage, and Technical Departments to assist with event set up and break down in both front and back of house spaces.
  • Set up and breakdown of catering and hospitality areas.
  • Accept deliveries and restock food and beverage areas.
  • Identify issues occurring at events and notify the Event Manager on Duty. May require assistance with resolving the issue if needed at that time.
  • Assist with maintenance and inventory of operational equipment including tables and tablecloths, chairs, stanchions, crowd control barriers, food and beverage inventory, technical equipment, and signage for events.
  • Assist with delivery and restocking of printed materials such as programs, brochures, or mailers.
  • Occasionally work in a patron-facing capacity and assist patrons with wayfinding throughout the theater
  • Work closely with the Education department and escort students into and out of the building for educational performances

The above-listed duties are not all-inclusive. This position expects to perform other work-related duties as assigned even though they may not be considered primary duties

Qualifications

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Able to communicate effectively with varying levels of staff as well as outside parties such as artists, vendors, and clients in a positive manner.
  • Proactive work ethic with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Demonstrates helpful and cooperative conduct with co-workers.
  • Willing to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Eighteen (18) years or older with basic skills in reading and math

FREQUENT FUNCTIONS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stop, reach, stand, walk, lift, pull, push, grasp, communicate, and use repetitive motions.
  • Frequently lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Climbing and working from a ladder.
  • Ability to stay alert and focused during long periods of inactivity.
  • The working environment includes working indoors and outdoors with moderate to loud noises.
  • Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and some holidays. (Monthly shift sign-up available).
