Job Title : Corporate Safety Manager

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • EMCOR ACTS Administrator.
  • Assure the timely and accurate data entry for a variety of EHS reports and reporting systems (including maintaining contact information in web-based systems), Including EMCOR ACTS Reporting System.
  • Manage and ensure all work-related incidents / accidents are added to log on company’s system, and initial notifications are saved to incident folders.
  • Help develop quality metrics and maintain data accuracy.
  • Coordinate all the Safety Team Meetings. Lead meetings of safety team and subordinates.
  • Coordinate communications within all Branch Safety Committee’s provide resources and feedback per Corporate Procedures.
  • Coordinate and facilitate communications between all Branch Management, Branch Safety Representatives, departments and shifts concerning safety issues.
  • Update, maintain, and track internal safety-related statistics as needed.
  • Advocate and drive employee engagement and participation as it relates to safety.
  • Maintain current knowledge of OSHA regulations and other rules and regulations pertaining to the facility and operations as necessary.

Training Management

  • Manage / Oversite Mesa-wide Corporate Training and Initiatives.
  • Learning Management System Administrator. (ACTS)
  • Mesa Training Calendar Coordinator and Database Administrator.
  • Manage and assure the available Training data is updated and maintained all Environmental, Safety and Training documentation (electronic and hard copies) as well as in the other various Databases.
  • Maintain and expedite the communication of training deadline dates to ensure management receives information from direct reports to enable deadlines to be met in a timely manner.
  • Develop as needed, safety training systems including updating training materials.
  • Train personnel as needed in EHS Systems and Database Maintenance to Branch Level.
  • Train and assess Field Technical EHS Subjects as needed or required.

Job Specifications (incl. Education requirements, minimal experience, computer skills required, etc.)

  • Experience in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs with particular emphasis on organizing, facilitating, and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in administrative skills, including word processing; editing documents including proofreading, grammar, spelling, punctuation, consistency, accuracy, clarity and syntax, attention to detail and format;

filing and record keeping.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks, and assume responsibility for department projects and action items from inception to completion.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of computer software applications such as Microsoft Products - Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Including ability to learn and manage internal proprietary systems, LMS systems, and various Multimedia programs, as needed.

  • Demonstrated ability to research and analyze problems and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Ability to exercise tact, discretion and good judgment in dealing with confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Ability to independently process, review, verify, and track action items to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Willingness to take initiative and provide support wherever it is needed.
  • Consistent history of work dependability and availability.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of employees, managers, external contacts, and visitors, including professional consultants and auditors.
  • Ability to travel to satellite offices required.
