Under the direction of the University Directors of Honors and Writing, provides a variety of diversified administrative services that support the University Honors Program, the Honors Academy, and the Writing program.
- Responsibilities include performance and coordination of daily office and program activities; serving as the initial contact with Honors and Writing students and faculty;
- coordinating student registration documentation and faculty teaching schedules; supporting communication and social media;
- participating in the planning and execution of extracurricular and social programs on and off campus for students in Honors and Writing;
assisting in recruitment of new students for Honors; and budget monitoring. 1.Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of progress towards a degree and work experience, preferably in an academic environment.
2.A minimum of three years of administrative experience, preferably in a multi-faceted, fast-paced environment, including office management responsibilities, experience with administrative record keeping and budget maintenance, interfacing with multiple organizational units, demonstrating strong organizational effectiveness the ability to coordinate special programs and events, and working with faculty, staff, administration, and students.
Prior experience in an academic environment demonstrating an understanding of academic affairs and enrollment practices preferred.
Familiarity with risk management practices preferred. 3.Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, email, social media platforms, and the internet.
Knowledge of Ellucian preferred. Ability to quickly learn new programs / applications.4.Ability to maintain confidentiality.
5.Must be available to work non-standard hours as required, including occasional evenings and weekends, to participate in and coordinate on and off campus student activities.
