Essential Functions :

Responsible for promoting the Bank's products and services viamunity outreach, partnering with local non-profit organizations andernment agencies.

Actively serves on Non-Profit Boards within the Bank's assessment area.

  • Develops relationships with neighborhood groups, realtors, home buyer counseling agencies and builders among others to identify and accept applications for residential loans and refer small business loans and low-cost deposit product opportunities in low / moderate ie areas of the Bank's assessment area, with a focus on majority-minority census tracts.
  • Interviews loan applicants and assists applicants with identifying the products that best meet their needs. Collects financial data & documents and submits aplete loan application for processing.
  • Bes well versed in local charitable and civic efforts geared toward enhancing access to credit and addressing poverty issues within the Bank's assessment area.
  • Conducts outreach to neighborhood and business associations with an emphasis on enhancing access to credit in the Bank's assessment area.

Organizes and assists in presenting programs and seminars to these groups.

  • Provides rmendations and suggestions to Bank management on the development of new products and services or the modification of existing products and services to enhance access to credit in the Bank's assessment area.
  • Conducts financial literacy training, including budget management, improving credit, and pre / post home ownership education to low / moderate ie populations within the assessment area.
  • Participates in creating an environment, processes and procedures that arepliant with all laws and regulations and focus on fair and responsible lending to all members of themunity.
  • Bes familiar withernment sponsored economic development programs to ensure Bank's products and services leverage and enhance to goals of the programs.
  • Provides support during regulatory examinations regarding CRA, Fair Lending and HMDA.
  • Demonstrate the standards and principles of the Five Star Bank experience in every interaction with internal and external customers, associates, and stakeholders.

Job Related Qualifications - Education and Prior Experience :

Required :

  • Education : High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior Experience : 5+ years inmunity Development and / or CRA related experience
  • Licenses or Accreditation : Registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System Registry (NMLS) to obtain a unique identifier that is provided to consumers in accordance with all SAFE Act requirements.

Renews registration with NMLS annually. Maintains and updates personal registry information as necessary to include name changes, changes, employment changes, etc.

Preferred :

  • Education : Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related field
  • Prior Experience : 10+ years inmunity Development and / or CRA related experience; Bilingual with Spanish
  • Thorough understanding of the following regulations : munity Reinvestment Act, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Fair Housing Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act, Service Members Civil Relief Act, Truth in Lending, Unfair Deceptive Abusive Acts or Practices, NYS Executive Law 296-a and 3 340
  • Excellent verbal and writtenmunication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities to meet established deadlines
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships and interact with all levels of staff, management, and members of themunity
  • Strong sales orientation while being customer focused; strong servicing skills
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and loan origination systems with the ability to learn and utilize new and existing banking software applications

  • Able to travel : Extensively
  • Extensiveputer usage is required.

The expected rate of fixed base pay for this position is shown above. In addition this position has a variable pay earning opportunity.
