Your Key Responsibilities
As a key part of the Mountain Water Business, through your affiliation with BC 1813 and the overall SW Water Region (that includes Utah, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico, and the global water practice at larger), your general duties will be as follows :
- Become engaged in active project delivery as a client-facing Project Leader in the Municipal Water and utilities markets in the Southwest United States.
- Learn and be a promoter of Stantec's project delivery structure that includes Project Manager and Project Technical Leads.
- Work closely with leadership to identify strategic client relationships to be developed, fostered and / or maintained in Utah and greater Southwest markets.
- Over time, be a key leader in the development of a strong network that connects and integrates our teams in Salt Lake City, Denver, Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Albuquerque.
- Support Stantec's reputation for innovation and research through participation in Utah conferences, professional associations, and academic partnerships.
- Mentor young professionals in the Salt Lake City office, and across the region.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Experienced in organizing, planning, and executing water treatment process designs from pursuit through closeout, involving internal personnel, subconsultants, and vendors.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Passion for team building and collaboration.
- Efficient technical leadership of assigned tasks on multiple concurrent projects.
- Understand client expectations, budgeting, proposal writing, and producing high quality deliverables.
- Technical expertise in relevant areas of water treatment process design.
Education and Experience
- Education : Minimum Bachelor's degree in a scientific, engineering, or related technical discipline.
- Experience : Minimum 15 years' relevant professional experience, with at least 5 years of experience managing and / or coordinating water treatment projects.
- Licenses / Certifications : Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Utah or ability to achieve within one year of hire is preferred.
