Safety Service Patrol Manager

Job Description

AECOM Transportation is seeking a Safety Service Patrol Manager for our client in Hampton Roads, Virginia.

Summary :

• Participates in SSP operations analysis, including measuring effectiveness, patrol route designations, manning departments, reporting criteria and methodology and evaluation of traffic needs, trends and response.
• Assess the proficiency of SSP personnel to establish standards.
• Coordination and leadership of regional SSP staff.
• Oversee the regional SSP training program and perform quality audits as required.
• Participate in resume review, interviews and recommendations for hire / advancement.
• Coordinate with control room staff to determine the nature and location of incidents, organize priorities and coordinate the appropriate response.
• Report assign vehicle / equipment / maintenance / repair needs.
• Serve as point of contact for SSP related visits, tours and media events.
• Participate in after-action meetings.
• Serve as Regional SSP Subject Matter Expert.
• Coordinate with Control Room Operations Manager on operational policy / guideline development and implementation.
• Other ad-hoc initiatives as assigned by the Project Management team.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

• BA / BS + 6 years of service related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education.
• Staff management / supervision experience.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Radio and phone communication systems experience.
• Familiar with regional arterial and interstate road network.
• Project management experience.
