The Lead Worker- Janitor supports individuals with disabilities on a day-to-day basis. This position assists, trains, monitors, and prompts direct laborers assigned to route / area for daily work assignments to be done in accordance with contract requirements.
The Lead Worker also inspects completed work for conformance to standards; is responsible for following and training employees in safety standards and guidelines in the proper use of the equipment and other activities;
addresses complaints and resolves problems of employees and customers and, in conjunction with route Team Lead, refers to supervisor as necessary.
This individual must possess and demonstrate high initiative, adaptability, reliability, flexibility, and convey a positive team spirit attitude.
The person in this position must also train in accordance with all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- The Lead Worker- Janitor supports individuals with disabilities on a day-to-day basis.
- Completes and maintains all Didlake required training.
- Review and comply with Company Custodial Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Provides SOP training & reinforces that training to all Didlake direct labor employees, including the proper use of equipment and supplies.
- Will work with direct labor employees to ensure contract compliance.
- Coordinates with Team Lead and Rehabilitation Department staff to ensure individual program plans are followed and implemented.
- Provide leadership at the direction of the Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, and / or Supervisor in the day to day operation of the assigned contract;
- fostering teamwork while balancing team and individual responsibilities; giving feedback to nurture a positive team spirit and quality performance;
and, modeling dependability, hard work, strong business ethics, and professional personal appearance.
- When a new employee starts, this person will train and oversee new hires on procedures and routes to ensure SOP's and contract adherence.
- Performs Quality Control Inspections and records results.
- Submits inspection reports and corrective action documentation through electronic software (CleanTelligent).
- Documents job observations for work completed each day and reports findings to route Team Lead.
- Ensures compliance with safety standards and guidelines in the proper use of materials, equipment, and personal protection equipment.
- Refers facility or customer complaints to immediate supervisor.
- May transport individual teams, supplies, and equipment to the work site as necessary to complete the required tasks.
- Safely and efficiently operates and performs essential preventative maintenance on all floor care equipment used to maintain floors on the contract.
