Job Summary :
The Material Handler III is responsible for receiving, moving, storing, counting, tracking, issuing, and shipping a variety of production parts, materials and supplies.
The production floor relies on this position to provide the right parts and materials at the right time in order to meet on-time-delivery goals.
Essential Functions :
- Maintain accurate inventory control by following established work instructions and processes.
- Move materials to and from receiving, production areas and shipping by hand, using sorting bins and carts, or other equipment
- Unpack, receive, and stock materials into storeroom location(s)
- Read work orders to determine material and equipment needs for production cell work
- Issue critical materials to production cells
- Complete the cycle count process for Value Stream; Escalate variances in counts, as needed
- Respond to unplanned issues with internal customers in a timely manner
- Pack and ship materials in accordance with contract requirements
- Aid and / or Backfill coworkers, as needed to complete daily tasks
- Change part stocking methods to better facilitate production needs
- Perform root cause investigation on variances in cycle counts
- Ensure compliance with export compliance rules
- Any other task assigned by supervisor or management
Minimum Qualifications :
- E xperience : 3-5 years of relevant electronics manufacturing experience
- Knowledge : Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods;
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Skills / Abilities : Demonstrated outstanding manual dexterity; Demonstrated ability to concentrate on repetitive tasks;
- Demonstrated ability to accurately follow detailed work instructions; Demonstrated ability to understand standard work instructions;
Math skills to perform basic calculations; Outstanding verbal communication skills; Proficient with MS Office. Willingness to work extended hours and Saturdays in order to meet customer's needs.
- Education / Certification : High School diploma or equivalent

Working Conditions :
- Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
- Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to : eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel / wrist straps and any other required PPE
- May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes
