Our client, a 160-bed acute care community hospital located in the Derby, CT is seeking a X-Ray (Direct-Hire).

Schedule : Mon-Fri 11 : 00pm-07 : 30am
Job Summary :
Under the supervision of a Radiologist, performs a variety of technical / professional procedures involved in applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis and therapy..
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES :
- Responsible for handling all aspects of patient care associated with the diagnostic function.
- Prepares room, equipment, medicine, and materials as needed. Prepares patient for procedure.
- Follows prescribed techniques in performing X-Ray procedures
- Follows prescribed techniques in administering general and specific X-rays.
- Adjusts equipment and desired exposure time, arranges immobilization and support devises to obtain position of patient, adjusts lead shield, and selects proper film.
- Demonstrates high-quality work standards, complies with Hospital policies / requirements of employment
- Maintains responsibility for attendance / reliability to ensure that the Hospital is operated in an efficient and cost effective manner.
- Performs all necessary paperwork inherent in the position; is responsive to all safety issues / concerns, and assists with the general operations of the department.
- Conducting IV contrast experience preferred, working closely with ED
- Simens X-Ray and GE Portable Machine, No Fluoroscopy or OR
Requirements :
- Registered ARRT
- CT license required.
