Civil / Structural Engineer Transportation Infrastructure Honolulu, Hawaii
Opportunity :
Parsons Corporation has an exciting and immediate new position open for a Civil / Structural Engineer to work with our growing Hawaii team on transportation projects in Oahu .
The successful candidate will support the design and management of conventional and moderately-complex engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses within the civil and / or structural engineering discipline.
Position may include coordination and interface with client in collocated facility. This is a hybrid-remote working role, ( meaning, allowed to work from home 2-3 days per week).
- Performs or manages the performance of various engineering and design assignments requiring the application of basic principles and fundamental theories studied in a four-year university engineering program, and available data in the engineering field.
- Assists in the preparation of detailed requisitions for construction and / or engineering services and subcontracts.
- Under the guidance of a more senior engineer, assists in reviewing supplier drawing submittals and technical bid analyses.
- Assists in the preparation and issuance of specifications, technical reports, and other construction documents. (expand)
Skills / Competencies :
- Requires basic engineering knowledge in civil, structural, or a related field. Familiarity with various CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is also required.
- A 4 year Bachelor’s Degree in either Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
- EIT preferred, and PE license is desirable , but not required.
- At least 5 years of professional work experience in civil or structural engineering field is required, with support of transportation related projects highly preferred.
- Preferred project engineering / project management experience on civil infrastructure projects
- Good organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Salary Range :
