Qualifications :
- Some knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and other components commonly found in heavy haul trucks.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Have a class B CDL license or better. (Preferred)
Responsibilities :
- Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks on heavy haul trucks, including but not limited to oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and tire rotations.
- Inspect trucks for signs of wear, damage, or potential issues, and address any problems promptly to prevent breakdowns and ensure safety.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to identify and resolve issues before they escalate.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including parts used, services performed, and hours worked, using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and following lockout / tagout procedures.
- Assist with other maintenance and repair tasks as needed, including emergency repairs and on-call duties.
