Very large and rapidly growing medical group with locations in OR, is currently seeking and experienced X-Ray Technologist to join their amazing and dedicated team.

X-Ray Technologist
Hourly rate : $41 / hr-$52 / hr DOE
Summary :
Under the direction of the Radiology Supervisor, performs diagnostic x-rays following departmental protocols, ALARA and service behavior standards.

Essential Functions :
- Performs routine diagnostic procedures utilizing knowledge of radiation / imaging scientific principles, technical skills and well-developed problem-solving capabilities.
- Receives and reviews requests for radiologic studies.
- Explains and prepares the patient for all radiographic procedures.
- Properly and safely positions the patient for maximum diagnostic yield.
- Operates highly complex radiographic equipment within the radiology department, selecting technical factors to ensure high-quality radiographs using the A.
L.A.R.A. (As low as reasonably achievable) standards
- Maintains radiographic equipment and x-ray rooms in proper working condition.
- Reports malfunctions and necessary repairs to supervisor as well as submitting a ticket with the manufacturer for service.
- Follows the clinic exposure control plans for bloodborne and airborne pathogens.
- May be required by their manager / lead to perform other duties which may be necessary or desirable.
- Enters appropriate information into PACS and makes sure the study is ready to be dictated before submitting to the radiologist.
Education and / or Experience :
- Graduate of an approved radiological program.
- Experience in radiology imaging modalities is preferred.
- Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists AART(R).
- Current state permit / license as general diagnostic radiographer and CPR Certification is required.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
- Excellent technical skills, pursues training and development opportunities.
- Understanding technique and patient positioning to obtain the best images possible.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, radiologic equipment, safety hazards related to radiology, and aseptic techniques.
- Skill in troubleshooting equipment
