Highland Consulting Group is a National Executive Recruiting firm that specializes in recruiting top performers in the construction industry.

We are working with a well-established General Contractor in the Pittsburgh, PA area that has an immediate need for an experienced Concrete Project Manager.

Successful candidates must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience of construction management working with Structural concrete and building concrete structures for Commercial and Public projects.

This position works projects from award to closeout. In general, they work large, longer-term projects with a high level of sophistication.

Some travel is required and is within a reasonable commute.

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :

• Manages and supervises all phases of assigned projects
• Prepare and manage schedules
• Estimate change orders
• Negot iate all change orders and maintain change order logs
• Manage project budgets and approves all expenses
• Contract Administration
• Buyout of subcontracts & Equipment
• Interface with the owner on all projects assigned
• Assemble and maintain complete project records and close-out documents
• Perform project punch-list inspection(s), in coordination with Superintendents and the owner’s representative, and issue punch list to all relevant subcontractors
• Stay in contact with past clients for repeat work

Job Requirements

• Must have experience in Structural concrete projects
• Must have experience with precast concrete
• Must have experience in building concrete structures
• Experience with Post tension projects is preferred
• Solid Communication both verbal and written
• Ability to establish timelines and budgets
• Experience in cost estimation and negotiating
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to lead productive, multi-discipline meetings
• Solid, proven and verifiable record of career stability and project management success a must
• 5+ years’ experience in general construction management with large project exposure
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required - Candidates with a strong construction background will be strongly considered.
