We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our client.s team to cover a medical leave of absence.
Responsibilities Include :
- Process payroll for approximately 250 employees across multiple states, including Canadian payroll.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of weekly and biweekly payrolls using Paylocity.
- Maintain employee payroll records, including W-2s, 1099s, and other required tax forms.
- Calculate and process federal, state, and local taxes, including FICA, Medicare, and unemployment taxes.
- Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
- Resolve payroll inquiries and discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
- Stay up-to-date on payroll regulations and best practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a multi-state environment.
- Proficiency in Paylocity or other payroll software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
