Job DescriptionJOB FUNCTION / PURPOSEThe Maintenance Technician 1 is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing various types of equipment to prolong the serviceable life of all equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIESAssists Lead Maintenance Technician in performing various maintenance tasksCleans and maintains tools and equipmentPrepares rigs for daily useRepairs or replaces pumps, motors, gearboxes, blowers, belt presses, and other equipmentMaintains files and records of work orders and task completionCleans shop area as assignedConducts routine equipment maintenance testsUnderstands and adheres to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functionsQUALIFICATIONSAbility to write simple correspondencesAbility to follow written and oral instructionsWilling to learn and helpPrevious water or wastewater treatment experience is desirableWilling to work all shifts including : weekends, holidays, evenings, and 24-hour emergency on callEDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or equivalent and 0-1-year related experiences and / or training or equivalent combination of education and experienceCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSValid driver’s license (CDL preferred)Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA)PHYSICAL DEMANDSMust be able to frequently lift 50 poundsAble to climb ladders and stairwaysAble to pass fit-test for Self-Contained Breathing ApparatusMust be able to access confined spaces Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functionsAn Equal Opportunity Employer.
