Salary : $70,000 per year
About the Position :
Our organization is seeking a dedicated Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of safety programs to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
This role demands excellent communication and organizational skills, along with the ability to assess and identify potential workplace hazards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Provide safety training to staff, contractors, and visitors.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root cause and corrective action.
- Monitor environmental conditions to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Develop emergency response plans for hazardous materials incidents.
- Conduct air quality monitoring and sampling.
- Perform risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
Requirements :
- Knowledge of all applicable laws, regulations, safe work practices, and accident prevention programs.
- Understanding of applicable state worker’s compensation guidelines.
- Experience with OSHA 511 / 512
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS).
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical
- Must have a clear MVR
- Train the Trainer certification is a plus
- First Aid & AED Trainer certification is a plus
