Job Description :

Collaborating with Engineering Program Management Operations &Quality business leadership and all Optics CMC functions andproactively addressing equipment needs to meet current and futurebusiness needs.

Enabling the factory to execute tothese needs on time and at or below cost in a safe environmentby

o Creating innovative solutions for improvingequipment uptime and process times including the design andcreation of custom hardware and software as needed.

oWorking with facilities and engineering teams to lead installs ofnew equipment and upgrades of existing equipment.

oModeling values customer focus solution oriented excellence inexecution and a sense of urgency and encouraging the same withinthe rest of the organization.

Job Duties include :

Calibrates tools Inspection Test & factory equipment inaccordance with industry and company practices

Mayinclude testing troubleshooting repairs maintenance of electronicelectromechanical mechanical computer laboratory and scientificsystems and / or equipment.

Calibration of equipmenttools and instruments across four factories in one location : Optical Fabrication Diamond Point Turning Optical Coating andAssembly / Test.

Collaborating with and working alongsidea team of experienced equipment technicians to support calibrationor preventative maintenance.

Utilizes variousengineering and scientific drawings manuals and other relateddocumentation in the performance of their tasks.

RequiredSkills :

Minimum of 8 years of professionalrelevant experience in calibration of tools instruments andequipment in a production or factory environment.

Background inelectronics mechanical aptitude ability to solve complex technicalequipment problems and strong troubleshooting skills.

Ability to work from schematics written procedures and oralinstructions.

Must be able to interface with persons ofmultiple disciplines and job functions.

Mathematicalaptitude to work with SI Units derived units multipliers andconversions. Able to use algebra and geometry to solve for theunknown.

Understands Traceability Standards andHierarchy.

Identify and apply common elements ofcalibration procedures and can write calibration procedures for newequipment.

Flexibility to work 2nd and / or 3rd shiftswhen / if needed.

Desired Skills :

ASQ CCT(Certified Calibration Technician) or similarcertification

Proven history of demonstrating initiativepersistence and creativity in problem solving

Priorexperience with Optical Coating (vacuum) and Diamond Point Turningequipment.

Excellent oral and written communicationswith ability to work with minimum direct supervision.

Ability to collaborate and influence development of projectobjectives and goals with external customers and internalstakeholders.

Knowledge of the opticsindustry.

Ability to multitask in a fastpaced dynamicenvironment.

Operates well as part of a team and canwork overtime on occasion.
