Summary :
To provide direct services as a part of a multidisciplinary team, the Licensed Psychologist will provide direct care including individual (including youth), couple, family and group therapeutic services to patients, including assessments, treatment plans, discharge planning and psychological testing / evaluations.
Responsibilities :
- Participates in direct care to assess needs and coordinate services to appropriate population (children, adolescents, adults and families)
- Provides initial mental health assessments resulting in measurement-based care planning
- Provides brief, solution focused therapy
- Provide group psychoeducation / treatment related to specific diagnoses / presenting issues
- Provide psychological / neuropsychological testing to patients referred
- Participate in care coordination
- Maintains daily / weekly scheduled appointments in electronic records systems
- Provide therapeutic services to patients and their families
- Work in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members including external partners and agencies
- Completes required documentation and paperwork including biopsychosocial assessments and treatment planning and implementation in a timely manner
- Participate in our high-risk program
- Demonstrates cultural competency and commitment to patients including LGBTQ+ community
- Participate in supervising psychology trainees in accordance with ABA compliance
Minimum Qualifications :
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D or Psy.D)
- Possession of valid clinical license in Connecticut
- Ability to diagnose using DSM 5
- Experience providing direct clinical care
Preferred Qualifications :
- Neuropsychological or psychological testing experience
- Experience supervising trainees / students
- Additional certifications in specialized clinical care such as DBT, CBT, trauma informed care, etc.
- Experience / knowledge of substance use disorders
- Experience / competency in working with LGBTQ+
