A law firm in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a Mid-Level Associate Attorney with experience in class action defense and mass torts / MDL litigation.
The ideal candidate will have strong advocacy skills and a proven track record in handling complex litigation matters.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Defend clients in class action lawsuits involving false advertising, product defects, false representation, and other related claims.
- Handle mass tort and multidistrict litigation (MDL) matters.
- Utilize experience with California Unfair Competition Law (UCL) in litigation strategy.
- Draft pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents related to class certification, summary judgment, and discovery responses.
- Conduct depositions, oral arguments, and expert witness interviews.
- Manage case deadlines, court appearances, and client communications effectively.
Requirements :
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the State Bar of California in good standing.
- 3-6 years of experience in class action defense and mass tort / MDL litigation.
- Experience briefing class certification and / or summary judgment motions.
- Strong background in product liability litigation is advantageous.
Skills :
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple complex cases concurrently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to litigation.
Education and Certifications :
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the State Bar of California.
