Overview of Accounts Payable Specialist role :
- Receive, review, and process invoices for accuracy and proper authorization
- Prepare and process electronic transfers, payments, and check runs.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and monitor accounts to ensure payments are up-to-date.
- Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries, discrepancies, and account status.
- Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist with internal and external audits as needed.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all accounts payable transactions.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.
Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Specialist role :
- 1+ years of accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Excel use.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize accordingly.
